The
Stax SDK has been updated to 0.3 and is now available for all Stax developers to use. This update of the SDK includes:
- a new set of management commands that make it easier to create and delete Java application and MySQL database resources from the command line
- a new Web-based Query API that allows Stax resources to be managed programmatically and to integrate Stax into release engineering processes
- a new application templating system that will make it easier to create a wider range of application templates
- support for deploying WAR files directly from the command line. This makes it much easier to deploy Grails, JRuby, and Maven-based applications to the Stax Cloud.
- an updated GWT 1.6 template that better supports the GWT-specific commands like "hosted"
- a new Scala/Lift application template
- a new "basic" application template that uses a simplified WAR-based layout (use stax create -t basic APPNAME)
For more information about the new
Stax SDK and
Stax Query API, please review the
Stax Wiki.
We look forward to hearing your feedback about the new features. Also, if you're at JavaOne this week, please swing by the Stax Networks booth and talk to the Stax team.
