We've been working with the Apache ESME (Enterprise Social Messaging Experiment) team to setup load testing configurations on Stax so they can see how their enterprise messaging server (think Twitter for the Enterprise) performs under load. They have now published their first load testing results and it makes for interesting reading.

Results: ESME’s First Load Test

You may have noticed that the ESME team is using a dedicated server cluster to do their testing. This keeps their load tests from bogging down other applications running in the shared Stax application pool. To keep server consumption to reasonable levels during the beta (so we can keep it free), we have not made the dedicated server configurations available, but if you're interested in load testing, we can enable this feature for your account. Just drop us a line at beta@stax.net along with your stax user id.

Do you have some special scenarios you'd like us to enable for your applications? If so, just let us know and we're happy to work with you to see what's possible. These specialized collaborations help us learn about new scenarios that might be useful to enable as features for all Stax developers.

As discused in the comments in the original blog, I'd like to be able have something like Glassbox to examine performance in detail.
