unpacking war in deployment?
Dear Stax'd,
i've discovered that a (crucial) piece of 3rd party code is looking for a directory -- that would be there if the WAR file were unpacked. Is there a way to have the stax app run from an "unpacked" WAR?

The war files are run from an unpacked location. If the app uses the servletcontext.getRealPath to locate the unpacked location, it should work.
