Is Stax based on(or using) could tools?

No, the two projects are both based on AWS, but they are not related. CloudTools is a set of command line tools for managing Tomcat deployments on your AWS account. With Stax, we're abstracting the underlying appserver and the AWS system and making it more application-centric with features focused on end-to-end developer productivity and enabling wide range of SLA flexibility in your deployments (ex: run in a single low-cost shared server that hibernates when idle or run on a dedicated server cluster)
